I felt prepared and comfortable at all times. It was great to get so much 1-1 instruction and support. I also felt super appreciative of the approach of this company too- not trying to upsell (ie high integrity), reasonably priced, and clearly very safe and prepared. Both of the days I was on the boat with other groups but still had 1-1 instruction with Evan. I really enjoyed my time on the boat, too, not just in the water. The guys were all light-hearted and fun, but still clearly very knowledgeable and helpful, looking after us. On the dives, we saw lots of cool fish, tons of turtles, some octopi, an eel, and even an eagle ray. Between dives on the first day, we saw a huge pod of dolphins as well. It was a wonderful experience overall and I can't wait to put my new skills to use all over the world. Thank you so much Evan, Andrew, Blade, and crew! You rock!   There were 5 divers on this excursion, including myself and my partner. One diver had recently bought new equipment, one had not dived since January, one had never dived before,... read more and the two of us were recently certified. There were three dive guides on board and we felt very safe in their hands. The person who had never dived before had his own guide while the other two guides took turns accompanying the rest of us 4 on a little tour of the pip and reef at Kewalo Basin. They provided wetsuits and I was glad to wear them because it was a bit cold and necessary for me to be comfortable. Jon said he wasn't cold without one. The other lady didn't have one and said she was too cold to do her second dive. We saw eels, fish, turtles, and a Spanish Dancer. It was cool to get so much closer to the reef than on our snorkel tour. We were even graced by a monk seal saying hi 10 feet from our boat in between our dives. One of the guides said they were very rare and was quite surprised that the little guy came up to the boat. If you're into scuba diving, I would recommend this company.

  These guys are great! Hands down the best diving company in Oahu. I have dove with a couple of others, and Hawaiian Diving Adventures are not only knowledgeable and friendly... read more but also have a strong focus on safety. I completed my Advanced Adventurer Certification with them (i.e., three 2-tank dives), and every time I had a great experience. They have their own boat with small groups. They also had enough instructors/dive masters on the boat to make even the least experienced divers feel safe). I can compare this experience with completing my Nitrox Certification with another provider in Oahu, and it's night and day in terms of customer service, professionalism and safety.
